KF-9074 /
KF-9075
Elevator safety contact switches, engineered so the spring never carries current.

The fixed safety contact base and its mating moving contact bridge, certified to IEC 60947-5-1 and EN81-1, -2. Current is routed through a braided copper shunt; the stainless return springs stay electrically isolated. Shipped factory vacuum-sealed.

Engineering failure analysis

Separate the force path from the current path.

As you scroll, the KF-9075 bridge plunges into the KF-9074 base. At full travel the contacts close and 2 A at up to 200 VDC flows — through copper, never through steel.

  1. FM-01

    Spring-borne current

When a return spring doubles as the conductor, I²R heating at the contact interface flows into the spring itself. Repeated thermal cycling can relax spring force — and contact pressure falls with it.

Stainless steel coil springs are electrically isolated. They provide force only: zero current, zero Joule heat.

  2. FM-02

    Uncontrolled current path

Current that finds its own way through pivots and sliding surfaces produces unpredictable resistance and localised hot spots.

A dedicated 12×43/0.05 braided copper shunt carries the full 2 A rated current from terminal to moving contact.

  3. FM-03

    Silver-alloy oxidation in storage

Silver-alloy contacts tarnish in humid or sulphur-bearing air while parts sit in a stores cabinet, raising initial contact resistance.

Every unit leaves the factory vacuum-sealed, so contacts arrive in as-manufactured condition.

Delivery condition

Factory vacuum-sealed.

Silver-alloy contacts begin to oxidise the moment they meet humid, sulphur-bearing air. Each switch is vacuum-sealed at the factory, so the contact surfaces your technician installs are the surfaces that left the line — not ones that aged on a shelf.
